Shanique Marie’s Uno EP has seen itself a fair run since being released in 2015 with support from the likes of Toddla T, Annie Mac, Max Glazer, Lukie Wyniger & Emily Dust.

The idea of remixes started when Equiknoxx’s Time Cow made an edit for “ Talk “ on “Equiknoxx on Pitchfork Radio’s SXSW takeover in 2018”. Talk further made its way to being cut to 7” by (Jackson Bailey/Tapes recommended) Tiago Henriques (Lisbon Vinyl Cutters). It has then since been featured in many DJ sets by friends and fam’ of the Equiknoxx crew.

Breezy Day on the other hand was birthed when UKG, Grime & Bassline DJ/Producer Flava D made her way to Kingston via Los Angeles to produce some tunes with Shanique Marie, during these sessions Flava heard “ Talk Remix “ and was interested in getting involved with the project. The result was a wonderfully bubbling UK Garage meets Jamacian Soul rework already getting plays on Mary Anne Hobb’s BBC 6 Music show via Swing Ting. Mastered by Nick Sinna at Futureworks in Manchester. The project sees a November 29, 2019 release on the Equiknoxx Music label with DIY artwork from the ‘queen of the cool kid’s club’, Shanique Marie.
